Our ceremonial grade matcha comes from Kagoshima Prefecture on Kyushu in southern Japan. First harvest only: shaded before picking, steamed, dried and finely milled.

Dense and slightly creamy, a natural sweetness up front with umami behind it. No hay note, no scratchy bitterness.

100 g makes roughly 40 to 60 bowls. Filled, stored and checked in Austria.

This matcha is produced with the utmost care – from shading the tea plants to gentle processing. Controlled shade cultivation gives the tea its intense green color and mild, well-rounded flavor. After harvesting, the leaves are processed into tencha and then jet-milled instead of stone-ground. This modern method preserves the fresh color, clear aroma, and silky texture of the powder.
Each batch is carefully sterilized and quality-checked in Japan before being exported - ensuring that every cup is as pure, fresh and bright as it should be.

How do I use this?

Sift ½-1 teaspoon of matcha powder into the matcha bowl. (approx. 2 grams)
Add 30-50ml of hot water (approx. 70-80 °C, not boiling).
Whisk with the bamboo whisk in quick "W" movements until the tea is smooth and slightly frothy.
First, drink it straight from the bowl to experience the true taste.
If your bowl has a spout, you can then pour the matcha into a cup - ideal for matcha latte or creative recipes.
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry, and dark place to preserve freshness.
